Journey of Hope - Raised More Than $500,000 Alinda Lewris joined her son (JASON JAMES LEWRIS) at the opening celebration in San Francisco for the launch of the Journey of Hope. Her son and his team averaged 75 miles per day beginning at the Golden Gate Bridge and ending their 67-day journey in our nation's capital, Washington DC. This fund-raising event is a 4000-mile bicycle trek across the United States that offers each cyclist the unique opportunity to work daily assisting people with disabilities. Simply put, the Journey of Hope is a ride with a purpose.
